Rey and Dominik Mysterio def. The Usos

As long as The Usos don’t match, I’ll remain skeptical of their chances of regaining the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Pat McAfee referred to the [kayfabe] screwy finish as a “massive botch,” and I’m pretty sure “botch” is a banned word in WWE.

Roman Reigns called Dominik Mysterio a child just one week after Dolph Ziggler made a child abuse joke about Mysterio. The man is 24, just two years younger than The Rock when he won his first WWE Championship, one year younger than Brock Lesnar when he won his first WWE Championship and the same age as Randy Orton when he won his first world title. The fact that WWE wants you to believe he is just a child until further notice scares the hell out of me in terms of their future.

Carmella def. Liv Morgan

With reports that WWE is looking to hire more women producers, this match is proof that the product is written by men as it is built around who is “the most beautiful woman in WWE” as if that means anything.

Liv Morgan was submitted quickly after publicly tweeting in support of Heidi Lovelace, f.k.a. Ruby Riott.

Can you imagine if Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm fought in the UFC over who was more beautiful?

Bayley Trolls Bianca Belair

This feud is being built around Bayley’s laughter, which is odd, but the visual of Bayley laughing at Bianca Belair with her face replacing the virtual fans actually made me laugh out loud.

Bianca Belair hasn’t won enough WWE championships quite yet, so when reading off her resume and accolades, she still has to shout out the trophies she won in high school and college.

Baron Corbin def. Shinsuke Nakamura

Pat McAfee marking out for Rick Boogs and Shinsuke Nakamura helps make this act even greater.

Shinsuke Nakamura lost yet another clean match to Baron Corbin only to attack Corbin with help from Boogs, like a sore loser, and these guys are supposed to be the babyfaces?

Apollo Crews def. Kevin Owens—WWE Intercontinental Championship

These guys had a decent match, but it went way too long considering the finish was so predictable since Kevin Owens got jumped before the match by Commander Azeez.

This match seemed to be a subtle shot at all those goons who insisted Hangman Adam Page lost clean to Brian Cage after Page was attacked before the match. The WWE announcers emphasized Kevin Owens’ disadvantage throughout.

The Mysterios def. The Usos by Disqualification—WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships

Imagine Roman Reigns if The Usos lose twice in one night.

Michael Cole kept hyping up how “unprecedented” it was to have a rematch after a bad call, and while it doesn’t happen all the time, it’s far from unprecedented. The Dusty Finish is one of WWE’s most trusted crutches.

WWE’s obsession with 50/50 booking favors The Usos in this spot.

Despite the crummy ending to this match, the epilogue made me even more captivated by this storyline and I didn’t think that was possible.
